About
About Seoul Beauty Journal
Seoul Beauty Journal is a monocle x cereal — register editorial publication covering corridors, walks, neighbourhoods, long form for an English-speaking international readership planning Korean aesthetic-medicine travel. The desk reads slowly and publishes considered work, not breaking news.
Editorial mission
Seoul Beauty Journal reads the Korean aesthetic-medicine corridor with the standards of a senior magazine desk. We publish editorial discovery, not ranking. We cover clinics by signal — practice texture, injector seniority, regulatory clearance, returning international patient signal — not by paid placement or ranking position. We are independent of any clinic, manufacturer, or aggregator platform.
Who reads us
Our readers are international patients and reading-curious professionals planning Korean medical travel. They expect editorial honesty, named-author work, and a medical reviewer's signature on every clinical claim.
Editorial standards
Every claim about a procedure, device, or clinical outcome is attributable to a published source — PubMed, KHIDI, MFDS, KDA, KSAM, KSDS, or peer-reviewed journals. We do not invent statistics. We do not write advertorial copy disguised as editorial. We disclose any sponsored content explicitly. We follow Korean medical advertising law (의료법 56조) — we publish editorial discovery without ranking, comparative disparagement, or guarantee language.
Independent of clinics
Seoul Beauty Journal is owned and operated by HEIM Global, a Seoul-based medical-tourism marketing agency. The agency does represent some clinics that appear in our editorial coverage. These representations do not influence editorial judgment — every clinic mentioned must independently meet our editorial standards (DB-verified, in-corridor, regulatory-compliant). We follow the disclosure norms of US-based media networks that share business interests with covered entities (the New York Times Wirecutter / The Verge model).
